Tourism & Recreation Sports and Leisure Snowmobiling
The Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes region is suited for ideal snowmobiling conditions. Contrary to the Red River prairies which is devoted to agriculture, the Pembina Mountain has many valleys and canyons. The landscape in the Pembina Valley leads to adventure.

No occasion is missed to get together and travel the trails both in the woods and through the fields. The section of trail maintained by the Mountain Riders is approximately 20 kilometers surrounding the village. These trails connect with surrounding communities' trails which makes a large network of trails accessible right from Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes.

Trails accessible include Somerset, Manitou (Pembina Valley Snow Kickers), Carman (Snowflies Snowmobile Club), Treherne (Rolling Range Riders) and St. Claude (Sno-What).

The complete trails link approximately 700 kilometers of trails regularly maintained and groomed.

Leaving from Notre-Dame-de-Lourdes, a person can reach the Pembina Valley as well as the Pembina River in a matter of thirty minutes.

Night riding is also practiced by local enthusiasts. Riding at any time is a great reason to get together with friends and family to celebrate the great landscape that we call home.

The Notre Dame Mountain Riders put on an annual Snowmobile Derby. The Notre Dame Mountain Riders Annual Snowmobile Derby usually takes place the third weekend in February.
